Curricular Structure

The student must take the compulsory subjects (7 credits), and complete a minimum number of credits (17 credits, each one corresponding to 17 hours/class on theory, or 34 hours/ practice class) together with optional courses, which include, in addition to the subjects offered by the Department, those subjects offered by other units, and indicated as optional subjects each semestre. 

The enrollment in those courses must have the supervisor’s endorsement. The course programme includes, in addition to the already mentioned subject credits, curricular Activities, and a work of conclusion (Dissertation). The compulsory curricular Activities include Qualification Seminars I and II, Teaching Practice, and Supervised Research I, II e III. In accordance with the General By-laws of Universidade Federal da Bahia, the curricular Activities do not count as credits, and the performance in those Activities must be translated in the form of comprehensive concepts (Passed or Failed). 

The student’s performance in compulsory activities such as Teaching Practice, Qualification Seminars I and II must be evaluated in a in a specific worksheet available in Formulários, in this page.

* The minimum number of credits (10) can be achieved with three or four subjects depending on their particular number of credits.
